Though the title reminds us of the early movie of Ravichandran and Khushboo, it is entirely different from it and has a refreshing screenplay. Director Pradeep Raj has set the romantic story in a village. It is all about the love between Santhu (Sat
... hishNeenasam) and Geetha (Subhiksha). The film starts with a flashback narrated by Santhu. Sathish’s village accent is incredible. Even before Lucia he has made his image as a typical village boy and he perfectly fits into the role. He finally gets to play a ‘commercial hero’ .Malayali actor Subhiksha is made to look like sandalwood queen. She looks beautiful in the screen. Her potential for acting is well seen. Slow pace of the movie is saved by the well scripted comedy. It keeps the audience engaged. Chikkana and Raju Taalikote evoke laughter in us through their body language. Director has taken tremendous effort to fill the dialogues with Kannada proverbs and other sayings. Movie is shot in traveller's favourite spot Madikeri and Mandhya districts which is a visual treat for audience. The music though does not have any blockbuster hits it is worth listening. Though a remake it has worked better for Pradeep and he is happy about his comeback. The movie as a package may not be compulsive, but worth a watch for once and promise complete entertainment.more
